Four new partners appointed at Barros & Errázuriz

Affinitas is delighted to announce that Chilean member firm Barros & Errázuriz appointed four new partners. Cristóbal Pellegrini, Lucas Marinovic, María Olga Rivera and Tomás Kovacevic have been elected as partners in the Energy, Corporate/M&A and Venture Capital, Projects – Banking & Finance and Tax practices, respectively.

As a result, Affinitas is now made up of 103 partners, 17 counsel and more than 450 professionals.

Cristóbal Pellegrini focuses his practice on advising energy companies in the different areas of the business, both in corporate and regulatory matters and in the negotiation of supply and transportation contracts; the structuring, financing, and implementation of energy projects; acquisition of assets and companies; tenders and other administrative processes; enforcement proceedings and dispute resolution among industry players.

Lucas Marinovic has developed an extensive practice of corporate law, he has specialized in advising national and foreign clients in M&A processes. He has stood out for his role in the development of the Venture Capital practice of Barros & Errázuriz, advising both entrepreneurs and investors in the creation, development and financing of emerging companies.

María Olga Rivera focuses her practice on infrastructure, construction, public works concessions, structured and corporate financing and the purchase and sale of companies. She has taken part in projects related to the acquisition of electric companies, the construction of a liquefied natural gas terminal, the development of the first sulfuric acid production plant in the country, construction and financing of projects in the infrastructure area, among others. Also, María Olga is part of the  Firm’s Gender Equity Committee.

Tomás Kovacevic is a tax specialist with more than eleven years of experience. He has participated in several tax structuring transactions for various businesses and industries, for local and international companies, including local and international taxation matters, application of international treaties, reorganizations, preparation of legal opinions, funds, among others.
