Lina Uribe

Lina, partner at Gómez-Pinzón, has more than 25 years of experience in Mergers & Acquisitions, private equity, join ventures and corporate matters. Additionally, as part of the Energy and Natural Resources practice group, she is an expert in environmental legislation, regulations and policies in connection with transactions, litigation and compliance with regulatory issues.

Lina also has broad experience in corporate transnational reorganizations, along with operations such as mergers, spin- offs and conversions, acquired in her M&A and corporate practice throughout the years. She has advised national and foreign sellers and buyers, including private equity funds, in acquisition procedures, from the legal due diligence stage, structure, preparing and negotiation of documents, governmental authorizations, up to the closing and post-closing of the transaction.

She has participated in several of the major M&A transactions of the firm including the merger of Bavaria and SABMiller, the sale of Carulla Vivero to Almacenes Éxito, the sale of Chrysler Colombia and the Avianca-Taca alliance; she also was a key part of the team that advised this company in its landmark IPO.
