Out of the the top 50 leading financial organizations, ranked by assets in “Who represents Latin America’s biggest banks”, our member firms represent 24 as clients.

Latin Lawyer Deal Tracker Report: All four Affinitas’ member firms among the busiest in dealmaking in Latin America

Latin Lawyer has published its first Deal Tracker Report, providing a unique overview of transactional activity in Latin America over the last year, identifying the most active law firms.

We are proud to share that all four Affinitas’ member firms (Barros & Errázuriz, Gómez-Pinzón, Mijares, Angoitia, Cortés y Fuentes, and Miranda & Amado) were named among the most active law firms in Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru. The four firms participated in a total of 56 deals

Colombian member firm Gómez-Pinzón was the most active firm in its jurisdiction, having submitted a total of 15 deals throughout 2021. Data collected from Latin Lawyer’s Deal Tracker tool reveals that just under half of these were M&A transactions. Another 27% of these consisted of loan deals, while 20% accounted for debt capital markets transactions.

Miranda & Amado was the most active firm in Peru and was even listed in the top 20 law firms for deal volume in Latin America in 2021. The firm participated in28 transactions 46% of which were loan deals and 43% capital market transactions. The remainder of the deals were M&A work.
