Road Concession Border Route

The initiative also proposes the improvement of 71 kilometers, corresponding to the stretch that extends from Entrelagos to the Borderline (km 46 to km 117.6), through the optimization of the current standard profile, the replacement of the currently existing simple roadway and the rehabilitation of structures. In the last section of Route 215-CH, it is proposed to modernize the area's safety facilities and equipment, incorporating technological optimization systems, and ground support equipment, mainly the clearing and removal of snow and ice, in winter emergencies. This will allow planning and coordinating the opening, operation and transit of the Cardinal Samore Border Crossing. The initiative will reduce the travel time between Route 5 and the border limit by 30 minutes, improve connectivity and trade through the Cardenal Samoré border crossing, which borders the Argentine Republic.
