Alejandro’s distinguished career includes his recent eight-year tenure as a Justice of Colombia’s Constitutional Court, in which he also served as chief justice, where he was instrumental in defending the rule of law and democratic institutions in our country . He also served as Legal Vice-President and general counsel of Ecopetrol, the Colombian national oil company. This public sector experience, coupled with his previous work as a partner at the law firm for twenty years, allows him to bring a unique perspective to Gómez-Pinzón. His role at the firm will focus on providing strategic advice in international transactions, transnational litigation and arbitration, leveraging his deep understanding of international business law, both in civil and common law jurisdictions.
