Gómez-Pinzón Abogados, our law firm in the Colombian market, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mauricio Montealegre as a new partner in its Labour Law practice. This brings the total number of partners at the firm to 24, with 9 women among them.

Montealegre, who joined Gómez-Pinzón in 2018 and assumed the role of Director of the Labour Law Practice Group in 2021, brings over 16 years of experience in corporate labour law. Throughout his career, he has been recognised for advising national and international companies, actively participating in complex business transactions, including some of the most significant in the country. He has played a key role in crafting practical labour solutions for the dynamic world of mergers and acquisitions. His expertise includes labour dispute resolution, developing integration strategies, and implementing compensation schemes. He has led audit and due diligence processes, negotiations with unions and senior executives, and the management of voluntary retirement plans.

She has represented clients in highly complex transactions and defended their interests before regulatory bodies such as IFETEL, COFECE, and INAI, and will continue to do so before the regulatory entities that replaced them.
