To commemorate International Women’s Day on March 8, Affinitas’ Diversity and Inclusion committee organized the talk “Diversity in Law Firms” given by Tim Girven, Legal 500 editor for Latin America. Tim shared relevant information about gender equality in the Latin American legal industry and the challenges we face.
The event was a great success and gathered more than 200 participants from the 4 firms.
For the third year in a row, Affinitas continues to be listed in Band 1 in the category Leading Regional Law Firm Networks in Chambers and Partners Global 2021 guide.
Chambers and Partners identifies and ranks the most outstanding law firms and lawyers in over 180 jurisdictions throughout the world.
According to Chambers and Partners, Affinitas is “A closely integrated network comprising first-rate firms in Mexico, Peru, Colombia and Chile. The network focuses on assisting clients with transactional work in the M&A and finance spaces, though all members are full-service firms.”
Moreover, each of the Affinitas member firms achieved an outstanding result in the 2021 edition. Collectively, Affinitas has 75 lawyers ranked, outperforming all other regional firms active in the four jurisdictions of the Pacific Alliance.
Together the four firms have 11 practice areas ranked in Band 1, 10 practice areas ranked in Band 2, and 4 practice areas ranked in Band 3. Additionally, our four members firms have been recognized on the Spotlight Table for International & Cross-Border Capabilities.
We would like to thank our member firms for this outstanding performance and thank the clients for their continued trust and feedback.
