Elimination of violence against women

To commemorate the “International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women” on 25 November, our member firm Miranda & Amado organized a webinar around the topic of abuse, femicides and gender violence.

In this opportunity Carmen Kcomt, member of the American Bar Association and the Board of Directors of the Commission to help victims in the office of the California District Attorneys Association, gave us her reflections on this problem that does not let up. Likewise, Marlene Molero, co-founder and CEO of GenderLab, international consultant who today leads projects with IDB and WIPO and expert in gender equality, spoke to us about the advances and setbacks of this struggle.

Both speakers made us reflect and analyze the problem of violence against women and, show us some mechanisms of action to prevent and denounce these cases of violence in our countries.
