Emilio Vásquez

Emilio, partner at Barros & Errázuriz, has focused his practice on advising local and international companies in corporate law, foreign investment, mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures.

In matters of international trade, he provides advice regarding anti-dumping and countervailing measures, including the development of defensive strategies or the pursuit of other business objectives affected by commercial litigation. Mr. Vásquez also has experience in the shipping industry, advising shipping companies in their relationship with shippers and insurance companies, including claims for cargo damage.

His experience in the cement sector is extensive, advising cement and concrete production companies; and in the telecommunications sector, having worked for several years as an attorney at Entel, an important Chilean telecommunications company. In addition, he has extensive experience in the salmon industry, after advising several companies producing salmon and other seafood; in the agricultural and wine sector, he has advised a major foreign investor in this field; and in the pharmaceutical sector, after advising Chile’s leading pharmaceutical retailer (Cruz Verde S.A.), which included distribution and laboratories.

Patrick Meshoulam

Patrick, partner at Mijares, Angoitia, Cortés y Fuentes, assists Mexican and foreign clients in a wide range of corporate transactions, including public and private offerings of equity, debt and structured securities, mergers and acquisitions, and financings.

He has worked on multiple domestic and international offerings assisting issuers, investment banks and other financial institutions. In addition, he has been involved in several mergers and acquisitions banking and other corporate finance transactions in Mexico and the United States.
