Industria Proyecto: Mining
La Negra Plant Expansion (Phase 3)
The Project consists of increasing the production capacity of the Lithium Carbonate Plant located in La Negra from the current authorization of 100 million pounds/year, approximately 45,300 ton/year, to reach a production of 88,000 ton/year of lithium carbonate, maintaining the production capacity of 4,500 ton/year of lithium chloride, i.e., corresponding to 6,000 ton/year of lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE), thus achieving a total production of 94,000 ton/year LCE. To achieve this production increase, modifications, expansions and improvements are required at the La Negra and Salar plants.
Sulfuros RT Phase II
This project seeks to extract and process sulfide ore reserves, estimated at approximately 2.8 billion tons, with an average copper grade of 0.51%. It is the first project that contemplates, in the future, to be supplied with desalinated seawater for its operation, without prejudice to the use of other available and duly authorized sources.
