The project’s implementation is scheduled for three years after its construction began.

The “Candelaria Operational Continuity Project” considers, among others, the expansion of the current pit, the opening of a smaller pit called “La Española”, the expansion of subway operations to exploit new reserves and the increase in the volume of tailings deposits, which are necessary for the continuity of operations.

Likewise, it contemplates the relocation of power transmission lines and some sections of route C-397; the creation of a reception area for the ore from pirquineros; enabling a third party concentrate storage building at the Punta Padrones port in Caldera; and the optimization of the desalination plant.
