The project requires ensuring operational continuity for the production of copper cathodes through the extraction of ore from the underground Papomono mine and external ore from the purchasing power. The current facilities, which fall within the scope evaluated and processed environmentally through RCA 264/2009 and RCA 148/2019, will be utilized.
Industria Proyecto: Mining
Mining Development Project for Clay Extraction for Tierras Raras Concentrate Production
The project encompasses the set of works and activities that will enable the construction and operation of a mining site and a processing plant for clays with the presence of rare earth elements. Subsequently, in the closure phase, the project includes the restoration of the surfaces of the Extraction Areas (Victoria Norte and Maite) and the Disposal Area with native species.
Modification of the Los Colorados Mine Project: Operational Adjustments and Continuity
The project aims to increase the mine movement to 95 Mt/year as established in the current Mining Plan of MLC, authorized under RCA N° 68/2021, extending the operational phase until 2033. This increase in mine movement entails a higher processing capacity of the two existing Beneficiation Plants in MLC, which process ore directly from the pit, rising from 14.3 to 14.5 Mt/year. Additionally, this implies an increase in iron preconcentrate production capacity from 9.15 Mt/year to 9.8 Mt/year.
