The project involves making operational adjustments to the processes and facilities of the Magnetite Plant for the next 20 years (18 years of operation and 2 years of closure) in order to optimize its performance, using the same existing facilities authorized by RCA No. 115/2005, while maintaining the maximum production rate of 3.5 million metric tons of magnetic iron concentrate (magnetite or pellet feed).

Public initiative under the modality of Projects in Assets. The project consists of the exploration, exploitation through a subway mine and beneficiation of a mineralized deposit located in the mining concessions Tambo Grande No. 4, Tambo Grande No. 5, Tambo Grande No. 9 and Tambo Grande No. 10, which make up the “El Algarrobo Project”. It also contemplates the design and execution of hydraulic infrastructure projects, applying a management model focused on the integral, sustainable and sustainable development of mining activities, contributing to the supply of water to the population. Andean Future Development
The project aims to expand the operation of Minera Centinela, both its processing capacity and lifespan until 2056, incorporating new deposits and leveraging existing capabilities, complemented by new facilities. The initiative will add two new open pits (Esperanza Sur and Encuentro Sulfuros) to the current operation, along with a new concentrator plant, a new seawater pumping system, and a new thickened tailings storage facility, among other works. It will contribute an additional 144,000 tons of copper, 3,500 tons of molybdenum, and 130,000 ounces of gold per year, with the first production expected in 2027.
