MootComp 2020 organized by Mijares, Angoitia, Cortés y Fuentes

Busy days for MootComp, a contest in the field of antitrust and competition organized by our Mexican member firm Mijares, Angoitia, Cortés y Fuentes S.C. MootComp, now in its fourth edition, seeks to provide law and economy students with a learning experience that is based on simulated a court hearings, case studies and interdisciplinary work.

The contest drew over 3oo participants in 65 groups this year, and can count on the participation of 89 coaches -all respected competition law experts- and the support of countless university and institutions.

Increasingly, there is an international dimension to MootComp, and Affinitas is delighted to see active participation of our member firms in Chile (Luis Eduardo Toro and Francisco Bórquez of Barros & Errázuriz), Colombia (Mauricio Jaramillo and Germán Cálvano of Gómez-Pinzón), and Peru (Enrique Felices, Omar Alvarado and Fiorella Zumaeta of Miranda & Amado).

The Competition and Antitrust team of Mijares is the driving force behind MootComp, ad we congratulate it leading partners Horacio de Uriarte, Pilar Mata, Francisco Fuentes and Carlos Orcí for their commitment and dedication to such a worthy initiative.
