Description:

The Port of Veracruz Modernization is a project that includes the following terminals: Fluids, Multipurpose, Containers, Agricultural Bulk and Mineral Bulk. With these works, the port will quadruple its installed capacity going from 22 to 90 million tons, making Veracruz the most important port in Mexico. In addition, basic infrastructure is built, such as the western breakwater, new concourses for cargo, roads for transport and railroads for the efficient operation of the new terminals. The benefits are reflected, by avoiding diversion to other ports with longer routes to reach their destinations, in the reduction of motor vehicle operation costs, highway maintenance and maintenance costs, rail transport costs.
